Hannah Rollings

Original Acrylic, Oil + Oil Stick on Panel

Sun Bleached and Green is an original contemporary painting from Hannah Rollings’ Barbados series, created from the balcony of her hotel overlooking the garden and the car park beyond. The work explores the unexpected beauty of everyday surroundings through a distinctly painterly lens.

Shadows move across the picture plane while gestural fronds rise into the composition, creating a lively interplay between the rich intensity of the sky and the greens of the tropical landscape. Layers of expressive marks give the painting a sense of movement, transforming a fleeting view into a vibrant piece of tropical contemporary art.

The work was exhibited at Babington House, Soho House, Somerset as part of Hannah Rollings’ collection launch and artist talk.
