Hannah Rollings

Original Oil + Oil Stick on Linen Canvas

A quiet moment of light and stillness on the Cornish coast, Where the Skiff Meets the Golden Hour is an original landscape painting by Hannah Rollings, created from a series of plein air paintings made in Padstow overlooking Rock Beach and the Camel Estuary.

The approaching evening light creates expansive areas of glowing pastel colours, while closer inspection reveals energetic brushwork where the water and light continue to shift. A small skiff sits within the composition as a subtle point of stillness, creating a sense of scale and inviting the viewer into the landscape.

Exhibited at Babington House, Soho House, Somerset as part of Hannah Rollings’ collection launch and artist talk, this expressive contemporary landscape painting brings a feeling of calm, light and coastal escape into the home.
