Rooster Tropics, 2026

Hannah Rollings

Original Acrylic, Oil + Oil Stick on Panel

Small in scale but full of colour, Rooster Tropics is an original artwork from Hannah Rollings’ Barbados series. Inspired by her travels and discoveries across the island, the painting captures the intense colour and abundance of the tropical landscape through bold, expressive marks.

An impasto, turbulent sky creates movement across the composition, while the rooster standing guard over its home introduces a moment of character and rustic charm. The result is a joyful contemporary painting that combines landscape, observation and abstraction in a compact format.

Rooster Tropics was exhibited at Babington House, Soho House, Somerset as part of the collection launch and artist talk.
